Main criteria of scientific tests of Institute aim at revival and creation in Ukraine its own production of effective veterinary medical products, fodders, fodder additives and premixes; development of improvement and harmonization of control methods, and also at providing the quality of the products of animal origin by means of MRL of active substances of veterinary medical means. There are 10 laboratories in 4 departments, the Institute has its own basis for conducting tests and trials, vivarium and scientifically experimental laboratory.
The Institute cooperates with corporation “Ukrzoovetprompostach” (general director V.T. Lisovenko), Ltd “Brovafarma” (director A.V. Berezovsky), public corporation “Ukrvetprompostach” (V.L. Solodchuk), Kharkiv State Biofactory (N.V. Dotsyk), public corporation of veterinary medicine “Biovet” (V.K. Moroz), Regional Scientific Centre “Zakhidplemresursy” (V.M. Glukhy), and also together with joint-stock company “Galychfarm”, Borshchagiv Chemical Pharmaceutical Factory, Kyiv Vitamin Factory, State Production Company “Skif” we realize joint projects called “Drugs for animals”. Above-mentioned enterprises have favourable conditions for testing, quality and efficacy control of veterinary medicinal products and feed additives on different stages of technologies, reproduction of control methods, exposure of possible violations.
The collaborators of SCIVP have relations with more than 40 scientific, educational institutions of national and sectoral academies of sciences of Ukraine, namely, Bila Tserkva National Agricultural University, Lviv National Agricultural University, Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies after S. Z. Gzhytsky, Institute of Animal Biology of Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, University of Food Technologies, Institute of Bakery Foods, Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine of Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Poltava Agricultural Institute, Lviv National University after I. Franko, Institute of Organic Chemistry, Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Zaporizhia and Lviv Medical Universities, Institute of Cell Biology, and also cooperate with control institutes of Russia, Poland, Czech Republic and with 173 foreign companies from 38 countries.
