Ukrainian Livestock Summit: Trends and Development Prospects

On October 17, Kyiv hosted the IV Ukrainian Livestock Summit, which brought together agricultural producers, industry specialists, representatives of government bodies, and technology suppliers. The event served as a platform for discussing contemporary challenges and development prospects in the livestock sector. The Summit program included thematic panels and discussions dedicated to poultry, pig, and cattle farming, product processing and feed production, veterinary medicine, and animal care.

One of the Summit speakers was Ruslan Pelenyo, Deputy Director for Educational and Organizational Activities at the SCIVP. He delivered a presentation entitled “Water Disinfection and Acidification: Modern Tools for Reducing Antibiotic Use”, showcasing contemporary approaches to enhancing farm biosecurity and minimizing antibiotic usage in livestock production.

Within the framework of the Summit, a professional development training session titled “The Art and Secrets of Successful Production and Efficient Use of Compound Feed” was held. During the training, Yurii Kosenko, Deputy Director for International Cooperation and European Scientific Integration at the SCIVP, familiarized participants with current standards and requirements for feed additives.

Additionally, the Summit featured an exhibition of modern livestock equipment, demonstrating cutting-edge solutions and technologies designed to increase efficiency and competitiveness in the sector.
