Establishing Cooperation in Combating the Pandemic

On 28-29 August 2025, Ukraine hosted the inaugural conference of the Interreg Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Cooperation Programme HUSKROUA/23/R/2/011 «PROTECT» – «Pandemic Response and Operational Tactics for Enhanced Containment and Surveillance». The conference included a presentation of the principal objectives and tasks of the project, focused on engaging key stakeholders and target groups, as well as on raising awareness among the local population. Special attention was devoted to strengthening cooperation with regional and local professional institutions, public administrations, and relevant departments, in addition to holding partnership meetings aimed at harmonizing activities.

The event was attended by Professor Volodymyr Stybel, Director of the State Scientific-Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medicinal Products and Feed Additives, who outlined the main areas of the Institute’s activities and emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing the challenges posed by the pandemic.
