On September 3-4, 2025, the key event of the autumn season – the traditional International Forum «Pigs Farming Industry» took place in Lviv. This year’s program focused on profitability as the main benchmark of efficient pig farming, as well as on the key factors shaping it. The forum provided participants with up-to-date insights that bridged science and practice, offering access to the latest technological innovations and advanced scientific and technical developments.
The discussions covered prospects for livestock development, creating added value in production, crisis management strategies for farms, entering new markets, optimizing farm management under limited human resources, and building effective management systems in pig farming. Leading domestic and international experts and practitioners with many years of experience shared their research, practical cases, and proven solutions that are already successfully applied in Ukraine. The professional program addressed urgent issues such as maintaining a high herd health status, implementing the most effective methods of facility sanitation, and reducing piglet culling rates. Experts also presented the latest and most relevant knowledge on efficient feeding strategies and the control of infectious diseases.
Representatives of the State Scientific-Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medicinal Products and Feed Additives took part in the forum. The Academic Secretary of the Institute, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Oksana Brezvyn, presented a report on «Safety and Quality of the Lipid Complex in Pig Feeds». The Head of the Testing Center, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Taras Levytskyi, delivered a presentation on «Impact of Adulterated Feed on Pig Productivity and Economic Performance of Production».
