The laboratory is accredited by the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of DSTU EN ISO/IEC 17025:2019.
The main areas of scientific work of the laboratory are:
- conducting clinical trials of chemotherapeutic drugs for veterinary medicine on target animal species;
- quality control of substances and veterinary antimicrobial products with regard to the content of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) during registration and re-registration;
- development of new and improvement of existing methods of quality control of antimicrobial veterinary drugs;
- microbiological screening methods for determining the content of antimicrobial substances in chemotherapeutic drugs, therapeutic feed and animal products;
- studies of antibiotic resistance of microorganisms causing infectious diseases in animals;
- participation in studies on the bioequivalence of new veterinary chemotherapeutic drugs and determination of their elimination periods from the body of target species of productive animals.
Researchers of the laboratory carry out expert evaluation of regulatory documents, registration dossiers for domestic and foreign chemotherapeutic drugs for their compliance with the requirements of the current legislation. The laboratory specialists provide qualified scientific, methodological and advisory assistance to veterinary specialists on the effective and rational use of chemotherapeutic drugs and prevention of the spread of antibiotic resistance.
