DNDKI Researchers Take Part in Expert Discussion on the Development of Dairy Farming

On 7-8 October 2026, the International Practical Forum “DAIRY FARMING INDUSTRY: Challenges. Risks. Changes. Solutions” was held in Lviv, bringing together professionals to address key issues in the development of the dairy farming sector.

The forum focused on the operational efficiency and profitability of dairy farms, the safety and traceability of dairy products, cost optimisation, herd health management, and the adaptation of farms to current industry challenges.

Participation in the Forum has become an established tradition for researchers from the State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medicinal Products and Feed Additives (DNDKI). The event also provided an important opportunity to present the Institute’s scientific work and contribute to professional discussions on key issues facing the sector.

Yurii Kosenko, Deputy Director for International Cooperation and European Scientific Integration, moderated the panel discussion entitled “European Integration Standards for Dairy Farms: Challenges, Requirements and the Realities of Ukrainian Production.” The discussion addressed current requirements for dairy production in the context of European integration, as well as practical aspects of their implementation in Ukraine.

Oksana Brezvyn, Scientific Secretary of the Institute, delivered a presentation entitled “Microscopic Fungi: A Challenge to Feed and Food Safety.” Her presentation addressed the pressing issue of ensuring the quality and safety of feed and food products.

The discussions once again underscored the importance of scientific research and professional expertise in safeguarding animal health, monitoring feed quality, and ensuring the safety of dairy products.
