On May 25, 2026, the State Scientific-Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medicinal Products and Feed Additives (hereinafter – SCIVP) hosted a working visit from a delegation comprising representatives of the Swiss-Ukrainian programme “Higher Value-Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP) and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The delegation included: Manon Schüpers, Co-Director of SAFOSO AG (Switzerland); Isabelle Lechner, International Consultant of QFTP; Iryna Vysotska, Deputy Local Project Manager and Coordinator of the Dairy Sector Component; Tetiana Harkavenko, Senior Expert of the Dairy Sector Component; and Olha Silvestruk, Deputy Head of Division – Head of the Food Safety and Veterinary Medicine Laboratory Control Coordination Unit of the Department for Coordination of Institutions of the SSUFSCP.
During the visit, SCIVP Director Volodymyr Stibel presented the Institute’s organisational structure, key areas of activity, and development priorities. Special attention was given to summarising a series of online trainings on the detection of residues of antimicrobial substances (antibiotics) and other inhibitory substances in milk, conducted from November 2025 to April 2026 within the QFTP Swiss-Ukrainian programme, implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
The participants also discussed prospects for further cooperation in the development of reference laboratory activities, improvement of laboratory control, and strengthening the milk safety assurance system in Ukraine.
Following the official part of the visit, the delegation was introduced to the Institute’s technical and laboratory facilities, visited milk-testing laboratories, and discussed practical aspects of laboratory testing with specialists.
